The college has nine Under-graduate departments at present imparting education

in Arts Faculty only.



COMBINATION OF SUBJECTS

1. Higher Secondary Course in Arts

i. English and MIL are compulsory for all.

ii. ln lieu of MIL (Assamese), Alternative English may be offered. Alternative

Hindi may be taken as non-collegiate,

iii. Besides English and MlL, a student can select a maximum of four subjects

from the following of which one will be an additional subject:

Advance Assamese, Economics, Education, History, Mathematics, Logic and

Philosophy, Political Science and Sociology.

2. Three-Year Degree Course in Arts:

   Special programmes for Students’  Welfare:
Following welfare programme are introduced in the college out of its own fund

     Students’ Welfere Fund. (College sponsored)
Students with extremely weak financial background but regular in attending the classes, perform well in the college and University/Board Examination and well-disciplined are eligible for financial assistance from the Students’ Welfere Fund created by the college from its own resources-

Book grants from College Library & Book Bank Scheme:
More than 70% students of the college, in consideration of their economic status and merit, text books are provided on loan from the college library and book from the book bank for the academic session.
